STORY

Brandon Lacy is on death row in Arkansas. We are trying to find anyone willing to help us save his life and bring him home. So far we have not found anyone willing to help. Brandon did not get a fair trial. And he was drunk during his confession. There are lots of issues in his case. Please don't believe everything you read online. Those are not the facts all the time. Remember they are trying to sell the story. Help us save Brandon!

TIMELINE

Brandon's capital murder trial started on April 28 2009 in Benton county circuit court in Bentonville Arkansas.

​

He was found guilty on May 8 2009 by the jury.

All under case #04CR-07-1550A
Benton county circuit court division 1.


After 13 hours of deliberations the same jury sentence him to death.


May 13 2009 Judge Robin Green entered the judgement.
Brandon's direct appeal under case #CR-09-1340 was filed in the Arkansas Supreme court.


October 21 2010 Arkansas supreme court affirmed his sentence and conviction. Lacy v State 377s.w.3d227 (2010)

 

September 6 2011 his Rule 37 was filed in Benton county circuit court # 04CR-07-1550A Judge Robin Green denied this appeal without a hearing. This was appealed to Arkansas Supreme court case# CR-12-142.


February 7 2013 Ark. Supreme court reversed and remanded back to circuit court for a hearing. Lacy v State,425s.w.3d 746 (2013) After the rule 37 hearing Judge Robin Green affirmed Brandon's conviction but overturned his sentence. State then appealed to Arkansas Supreme court case# CR-15-171.

 

February 4 2016 Ark Supreme court affirmed circuit courts denying guilt phase relief but reversed the order granting sentence relief saying circuit court applied a subjective rather than objective standard to access trial counsels performance at trial. State v Lacy , 480s.w.3d 856 (2016) After 2nd remand circuit court denied Rule 37 relief. Appeal was filed in Arkansas supreme court case#CR-17-404


May 17 2018 Arkansas supreme court affirmed denial of Rule 37 relief. Lacy v State,545s.w.3d 746 (Ark. 2018)


August 2 2018 court issued mandate.


May 15 2019 Federal Writ of Habeas Corpus was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas case# 5:19-cv-095 DPM-PSH
